Frequently asked questions
Is the free plan free forever?
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and no activity limit, and no card is needed. Your whole ride history turns into tiles for free.
What happens to my tiles if I cancel Premium?
Nothing disappears. Your rides, tiles, squares, targets and routes stay; only the planners and route navigation need Premium again.
Can I get a refund?
You pay nothing for the first 30 days, so you can try Premium before the first payment. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Refunds are covered in the terms.
Do I need Strava?
No. You can upload GPX, FIT or ZIP files, connect other apps, or record rides in the Gridhunt iPhone app.
Which devices show tiles live?
Live tiles are free on iPhone and Apple Watch. Premium adds navigation along a planned route (iPhone, Apple Watch, Garmin) and live tiles on Garmin bike computers and watches and Hammerhead Karoo.
Is VAT included? Do I get an invoice?
Stripe calculates taxes for your country and shows the total before you pay. Receipts and invoices arrive by email from Stripe and are available in the subscription portal.
Will my square match other tile tools?
Yes. Gridhunt uses the standard OSM tile grid (z14, ~1.6 km), the same as the tile-hunting community, so the same rides give the same tiles.
